JUNIORS  1.Jai Bradley 2. bred Jenner 3.Jess Cini 4.Daniel Bashtill. With only a small class of four riders, it was like finals from the word go for these kids!  The youngsters who entered showed they weren’t scared of the big ramp and put on a great display for the crowd.  Melbourne local, Jai Bradley, took out the win with some big airs and plenty of style for such a small kid.  He didn’t care that he was out there on a 16inch bike – he showed all the bigger kids how its done!  

AMATEUR  1.Shannon Farrugia  2.Cedric Tsing  3.Jordan Antzak  4.Matt McKay  5.Jon Mackellar  6.Brandon Loupes  7.Jeremy Tsing  8.Peta Shepherd  9.Crystal Shepherd  10.Nick Young. The amateur class was such a tight competition that after much deliberation, the judges ended up taking 10 through to the final instead of just 8.  Some of the boys got a bit of a shock when the only two girls in the whole competition, Crystal & Peta, upstaged them in qualifying to make it through to the top 10!  Cedric Tsing qualified in first place with a flawless opening run to put himself in the best position for the final. Unfortunately for Cedric, he found that everyone steps up a gear for the finals and one of the younger competitiors, Strictly's Shannon Farrugia, took out the win with a dialled run that had plenty of big tricks and truck loads of style!

PRO  1. Nick Cooper  2.Kyle Baldoc  3.David Girsch  4.Luke Bowerman  5.Andrew Gul  6.Dylan Lewis  7.Chris O’Donnell  8.Shane Conlon. With one of the largest Pro classes ever seen in an Australian BMX event, everyone expected this competition to be something crazy!  It certainly didn’t disappoint!
With so many top riders, picking a final 8 was always going to be difficult and plenty of big names were bound to miss out.  With Kyle Baldoch putting on a perfect run in the first heat every competitor was on notice that this was going to be a tough comp to win!  Some of the causalities of the qualifying rounds were Alex Hiam, Jed Mildon, Luke Fink, Clint Bensley and Andrew “Mini” Ahamada – who missed out by a mere 0.33 of a point!  Kyle ended up qualifying in first place, with plenty of guys close on his tail. Once the top 8 was announced, everyone got serious.  With $2000.00 on the line for first place, no one was going to hold anything back!  Kyle came out with another dialled run to take an early lead, but it was QLD local, Nick Cooper who put together the run of the night.  With back-to-back tricks and a totally original style, his run had everyone on their feet!  The remaining riders put everything on the line, but no one could match Cooper’s run!
