Igor Bespaliy chose a very short offset for his BES fork – only 19.66mm. This offset has two main advantages: first is front wheel tricks. It is much easier to get in and balance on a short offset than on a longer one. In addition, the base of the bike also becomes shorter, and the bike with a short base is easier to spin.

The bottom of steerer tube of any BMX forks is a problem. This is largely due to improper load distribution. Depending on the fork model, weak points are either the seams of the dropouts, or the area of the seat of the lower steering bearing. To solve this problem, Stress used a solid milled hardened stem on all BMX forks. In 2020, the steerer tube was redesigned, they changed the wall thickness and removed the aluminum washer from it. The fork now is stronger and lighter.
